Rhonda and I were eating at the table and saw that Gus was locked up big time in the back yard. Next thing we know we snatched a hummerbird out of the air. The bird was injured and Gus decided to carry his prize around and brag about it. You can forget the whistle or "Gus, here to me." Never happen he just keep his distance until the bird died and he was tired of playing with it.

Should I laugh or cry? If it had been a training session I would have had control over the bird and the dog; not this time.

I would have never believed a pup could snatch a hummerbird out of the air. LOL LOL

Jay;

"Sh*t happens!" I never would have believed a dog could catch a hummingbird either. Don't lose sleep over it. You might want to be careful with Gus around bumble bees. They bite back.

It doesn't matter with a pup. I give mine a bird to chew on as pups (but only once or twice!)
